So I am nearing the end of my first week on Stemulite and what a week its been. As promised last week I am going to continue to document all key things that I’ve felt/ not felt and what I’ve done in that week.

SATURDAY: Day One
Hours Slept:
23:00 – 08:00 I slept well, but was NOT ready for the alarm to go off in the morning.
Feeling:
Within 90-minutes of taking my first tablet, I started to feel a bit more alert. Part of me was unsure if this was a psychological reaction as id known I’d taken this wonder-pill so I MUST feel different, right?!
Travel:
Drove to work (due to having to pick up a box of equipment needed to teach)
Work Hours:
09:90 – 10:00
Classes Taught:
CXWORX
Workout:
Today was a scheduled rest day and doubled up as a chance to get an idea of how Stemulite made me feel.

SUNDAY
Hours Slept:
00:30 – 09:30
Feeling:
I’d been to a wedding reception last night but I stuck one bottle of a light beer and water thereafter. Once I was in bed, it didn’t take me long to fall asleep and I slept a LOT deeper than normal. It felt like I was comatose. I woke up alert and had plenty of energy for the day.
Travel:
None.
Work Hours:
None.
Classes Taught:
None.
Workout:
None planned, but I did spend the best part of the day sorting out our garage, moving furniture and several trips to the dump!

MONDAY
Hours Slept:
23:00 – 07:00 deep, restful sleep.
Feeling:
Woke up feeling the same as I did yesterday. Wide awake and alert.
Travel:
8km cycle to/ from work.
Work Hours:
09:30 – 18:00
Classes Taught:
Boot Camp 9:30 – 10:30, Spin 19:00 – 19:45, HIIT Training 19:45 – 20:15
Workout:
Rest Day.
Tablets:
1 daytime and 1 night-time formula


TUESDAY
Hours Slept:
22:00 – 07:00 solid sleep
Feeling:
I felt AWESOME. Woke up fresh and got better throughout the day.
Travel:
5 Km cycle to/ from work.
Work Hours:
11:00 – 20:00
Classes Taught:
CXWORX 18:30 – 19:00 & INSANITY 19:30 – 20:00
Workout:
Workout One from my new plan. Chest and back. 10:00 – 10:45. I had the strangest sensation throughout the latter sort of my workout. If it wasn’t for the bar ‘sticking’ at points of the move, I wouldn’t have known that I was fatiguing. I had a great pump that stayed for longer than normal too. Despite being on a high volume workout, I felt that I could have gone on for hours.

Then later, in both of my classes, I was jumping higher, lifting heaving and sprinting faster than I usually would during my first class of the day, let alone the last, after a hard workout and an eight hour shift.

WEDNESDAY
Hours Slept:
22:15 – 05:15
Feeling:
I woke up exactly 61-minutes before my alarm went off. Wide awake. I spent some time laying there, making the most of the extra time I had, before getting up and prepping for the day. I also had none of the DOMS (Delayed Onset of Muscular Soreness) that I was expecting to have after such a high volume session.
Travel:
5 Km cycle to/ from work.
Work Hours:
06:15 – 14:15
Classes Taught:
Insanity Live, 06:30 – 07:00
Workout:
Rest day.
Tablets:
1 daytime and 1 night-time formula


THURSDAY
Hours Slept:
22:30 – 05:45.
Feeling:
Again, I woke up 61-minutes early. Today I stayed in bed for some time, enjoying the extra time and mentally preparing the days ‘to-do’ list. Still no sign of Tuesdays DOMS.
Travel:
5 Km cycle to/ from work.
Work Hours:
06:45 – 14:45
Classes Taught:
HIIT Spin 07:15 – 07:45, CXWORX 09:30 – 10:00
Workout:
Workout two of the new plan. Shoulders and Legs. 14:45 – 15:30. Feeling strong and powered through the session at a higher intensity than I expected to and still felt great at the end.

FRIDAY
Hours Slept:
22:45 – 08:30
Feeling:
Today I didn’t start work until 2pm, so I didn’t set an alarm. Usually I’d sleep in until around 10/11 am, but today I woke up early, feeling better than I usually would. I still haven’t got the feeling of DOMS from any of my workouts I’ve had these weeks. Considering I had a heavy leg session yesterday, I was expecting at least a little tightness today. NOTHING! Unbelievable.
Travel:
5 Km cycle to/ from work.
Work Hours:
14:00 – 22:00
Classes Taught:
HIIT Spin 14:00 – 14:30, INSANITY 14:45 – 15:15
Workout:
Originally, I had planned to train tomorrow. But that was because I was expecting to have some DOMS and needing more recovery time. As I haven’t had any, I’ve decided to hit Biceps and Triceps today, 13:00 – 13:45. Again, I felt stronger and stronger as the session progressed. And still had so much energy to see me through a busy shift at work.

So how would I sum up my first week on Stemulite Fitness Formula? Amazing and full of pleasant surprises. I am going to look at my training plan again this weekend. One, to capitalise on my fast recovery time and; two, to start some additional training for an event I have coming up in a few weeks’ time.
