Fitness Tips for the Holidays

Fitness Tips for the Holidays

Wow, December already, can you believe it? This year has gone by in a blink of an eye, I guess time does go by faster as you get older. HaHaHa, today I celebrate my 51st year on this planet so I guess I qualify as at least a "little older"!

You know what the end of the year means, the Holidays! Great time to enjoy your family and the fruits of your labor to mark another year gone by. Unfortunately, as you probably know, it is also filled with pitfalls to your training and diet.

Time schedules are dominated by planning and shopping so it is easy to skip regular workouts and when the family gets together for oh so many wonderful meals it is easy to lets say, over indulge.

So here are a few ideas to help avoid these pitfalls. Try "active entertaining". Instead of spending to much time sitting and visiting with family encourage them to get "active" with you instead. Spend at least an hour a day outside, walking, jogging or playing your favorite outdoor sport. For foul weather days where you must stay inside try some of the new "active" video games. I know what you are thinking, how can you get exercise from a video game? Try wii Tennis or even the bowling, baseball or boxing games. I can literally break a sweat on the tennis game.

What about all that beautiful, rich food and deserts? Well you are kinda on your own here, I know how I feel about my Turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes! I have found that drinking at least 12 oz's of water just before meals can help curb the "overeating appetite". Also, load up on the fresh fruit and vegetables, we already know that you can eat as much of these as you like without regret! Then just be sensible about the "meat and potatoes"!

Of course helping to balance your metabolism does not hurt either! How bout a little more energy and endurance to keep you going through the holiday period? Ah, and a better nights rest would be great too wouldn't it? These are all things that Stemulite Fitness Formula can do for you and more.
